Quick Take

Fine and interesting. Kind of pricey. Some pretty nice beans though, including a Malaysian liberica that indeed tasted like bubblegum.

Review

One Half Coffee felt like a place with real coffee potential. The beans were interesting, and that matters a lot.

The standout was a liberica bean grown in Malaysia. The tasting note was bubblegum, and somehow it actually tasted like bubblegum. That was fun.

I did wish the bar seating was more engaging. When a cafe has that kind of setup, it feels like an opportunity for the baristas to make the tasting experience more interactive.

Overall, fine and interesting. A little pricey, but there are some pretty nice beans.
